We were delighted to be working for a second year with Ireland’s flagship electronic arts festival AVA. We provided bespoke Marquee setups for both the Boiler Room Stage as well as Becks BeKreative Area.
The Boiler Room stage required a view of Belfast’s iconic Shipyard Cranes as a backdrop, known locally as Samson and Goliath these cranes can be seen from nearly every point in the city and stand as homage to Belfast’s Industrial Shipbuilding past. To do this the tent was rigged with 3.5m Outriggers and a 5m +4.5m central pole to lift the canopy .
The Becks BeKreativ Stage needed to incorporate a live graffiti area,we used a 40 ft shipping container to attach one 15m side of the tent into. The container was then batoned with wood to allow wood sheets to be attached thus acting as a canvas for local artist, Kev Largy
“I have always been involved in promoting electronic music here in Ireland so the chance to get involved with a local festival always appeals to me. The fact that Belfast has so much creative talent and so few outlets for it express itself makes AVA Festival one of outstanding gigs of the year. The buzz is incredible and the Djs feed off this energy to make it a very special day. Our tents play an integral part in the outdoor section of the festival and we look forward to taking it to the next level next year.”
Angus Barry,Maverick Marquees
‘Maverick Marquees are a real pleasure to work with. They are fast, efficient, helpful and accommodating. We (AVA) used two marquees for our 2016 festival, one for our boiler room stage, the other for our Becks stage. Both looked amazing and provided the coverage & atmosphere we wanted. Highly recommend Maverick!
